CHAPTER 269.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
126 A of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Anne Arundel County," sub-title "County Commissioners,"
as said section was enacted by Chapter 434 of the Acts of
1894.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 126 A of article 2 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," sub-title "County
Commissioners," as said section was enacted by chapter 434 of
the acts of 1894, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-
enacted with amendments so as to read as follows :

Repeal.

126 A. The clerk of the court, the register of wills, the
sheriff, the Board of County School Commissioners, the officers
of registration, the supervisors of elections, the Treasurer, the
State's Attorney, or whichever of them, and whatever officers
of said county are entitled to demand of the County Commis-
sioners of said county payment for the same, shall annually, on.
or before the first day of January, eighteen hundred and
ninety-seven, and in each and every year thereafter, make
requisition upon the County Commissioners of said county for
such dockets, record books, registration books, stationery and
other similar articles, as will be needed in their respective
offices for the proper conduct thereof, during the succeeding
year, and for the supply of which, and the payment for which,
the County Commissioners are by law responsible; and the
County Commissioners shall thereupon, by advertisement in-
serted once a week for three successive weeks, in said mouth of
January, in two newspapers published in said county, one
of which, if possible, shall be of opposite political faith from
them, or a majority of them, and in one newspaper published
in the city of Baltimore, invite sealed proposals for the furnish-
ing of all such dockets, record books, registration books, station-
ery and other similar articles; and also for such record books,
stationery and other similar articles as will be needed by the
County Commissioners themselves or their clerk in the proper
conduct of their office during said year; and also for such addi-
tional articles of the same character, at the same rates as may be
required for said office, and for which the County Commission-
ers are responsible during such year; such proposals shall be
delivered to the County Commissioners on or before the first
Tuesday in February following, and shall at said meeting be
