This Manual was sent to press during the fiscal year and appeared
January 1966.

Mr. White reviewed the following two books for the Maryland
Historical Magazine:

Generals in Blue: Lives of the Union Commanders. By Ezra J.
Warner, Baton Rouge, 1964.

West Virginia Civil War Literature: An Annotated Bibliography.
By Charles Shetler, Morgantown, 1963.

Publication No. 14 of the Hall of Records Commission: Quaker
Records in Maryland.

This work was sent to the printer before the end of the fiscal
year but it is not scheduled to appear before January 1967. Phebe
Jacobsen of our staff is primarily responsible for this volume which
contains a great deal more than the records. The history of the records
of every meeting is preceded by the history of the meeting and the
meeting house. It is profusely illustrated.

FINDING AIDS

"Bulletin No. 13 Hall of Records Commission, Index Holdings,
May 1966."

This sixteen page "Bulletin" was prepared by Mr. Kilbourne and
the Archivist. It is a cumulative list of Index Holdings at the Hall
of Records for the use of the staff and the General Public. There are
useful, however short, historical introductions, to the main series of
records.
