16 TWENTY-NINTH ANNUAL REPORT

The Archivist also served as Chairman of the Waldo Gifford Le-
land Award Committee, but since a publication of the Hall of Rec-
ords was in contention, he did not participate in the voting. He con-
tinued to serve ex officio as a member of the Committee for Profes-
sional Standards and Training, and as a member of the Advisory Board
of the American Archivist, the quarterly publication of the Society of
American Archivists.

Duties of the New York World's Fair Commission remained
nominal. The Archivist's work as a member of the Historic Annapolis
Indexing Project was quite time consuming—and fruitful. Graduate
students from the University of Maryland, The Johns Hopkins Univer-
sity, and Goucher College, participated in this work which the State
subsidized to the amount of $5,000. Dr. Radoff continued to be deeply
interested in the Maryland Historical Society's Historical Seminar, of
which the Chairman is Dr. Kent Roberts Greenfield.

Mr. Skordas continued as a member of the Council of the Society
of American Archivists and he also served as a member of the Pro-
gram Committee for the annual meeting held at Raleigh. Mr. Beach
was once again a member of the Records Management Committee, and
Mr. White was continued as a member of the State Coordination Cur-
riculum Committee of the State Department of Education.

Dr. Radoff attended a meeting of the Maryland Historical Trust
at "Langshaw" Wye Mill, Talbot County, on July 11, 1963. He attended
subsequent meetings on October 24, 1963, at Salisbury, on February 27,
1964, at Annapolis, and on May 6th, of the same year, at Frederick.

Mr. Skordas, Mr. Beach and Dr. Radoff attended the annual
meeting of the Society of American Archivists in Raleigh, N. C. Mr.
Skordas, as a member of the Council, attended a joint meeting of the
Society of American Archivists and the Mississippi Valley Historical
Association in Cleveland. He also attended the joint meeting of the
Society of American Archivists and the American Historical Associa-
tion at Philadelphia, primarily for the Council Meeting of the S.A.A.

Mr. Beach and Mr. Straubinger attended the annual meeting of
the Registers of Wills Association in Ocean City, and Dr. Radoff, Mr.
Skordas and Mr. Straubinger were in attendance at the Clerks of Court
Association Meeting, also held in Ocean City.

Mr. Brown and Mr. Beach attended the annual meeting of the
National Microfilm Association in Philadelphia.
