this State. Annapolis, Frederick Green, 1808]
"Resolved, That the printer to the state print twen-
ty-five hundred copies of the militia law of this state,
stitched in form of octavo, to which the militia law of
congress shall be annexed, and Steuben's directions for
the manual exercise."—Maryland Laws, Nov. sess. 1807,
sig. O 2r, among "Resolutions assented to". Detailed
instructions are given for distribution to the officers
of the militia.
Advertised in the Annapolis Maryland Gazette, Mar. 3,
1808, as "A few copies ... may be had at the Printing-
