Bayly had lust arrived from Alexandria where he had performed to a polite audience which had been mostly the same
for three months. Among the attractions which he offered were a number of table tricks, a company of artificial comedians
nearly four feet high and fifty figures representing the various nations of the world dressed in colorful costumes. At the New
York Historical Society there are preserved in the volume containing Wall's Baltimore Playbills, several items concerning
