So the Senate refused to send the message.
Mr. Kirnmel offered the following order:

Ordered, That 500 copies of "An act making appropriations
for the payment of the expenses of the Extra Session of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland," passed on the 25th of June, be
printed for distribution by the Senators.

The yeas and nays being demanded, appeared as follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

NEGATIVE.

Messrs. Brooke, President; McKaig,
Blackistone, Townsend,

So the Senate rejected the order.
Mr. Kimmel submitted the following:

WHEREAS, It is desirable that action should be had by the
Senate on the Congressional amendments to the Constitution,
which have been mislaid;

Resolved, That the Secretary of the Senate be requested to
make diligent search for said amendments, and in the event of
his failure to discover them, that a duplicate thereof be prepared
and submitted to the Senate forthwith.

Which, on motion, was laid over.

Mr. Kimmel submitted the following message and resolution:
