On motion of Mr. Smith,

A call of the roll was ordered, when the following Senators an-
swered to their names:

Messrs. Blackistone, Duvall, Franklin, Gardiner, Lynch, Mc-
Kaig, Miles, Smith, Stone, Townsend, Watkins, Whitaker—12.

The Sergeant-at-Arms returned, and reported that he had
notified the absent Senators that their attendance was required
at the Senate chamber.

On motion of Mr. Miles,
The Resolutions were laid over informally.

On motion of Mr. Miles,

A bill, entitled, An act to repeal the 41st, 42d, 43rd, 46th,
47th, 48th and 112th sections of the 63rd Article of the Code of
Public General Laws, and the 741st. 742d and 743rd sections of
the 4th Article of the Code of Public Local Laws of this State,
in relation to the uniform and ununiform militia and volunteer
force in the several counties of this State and in the city of Balti-
more, and the reclamation, custody, control and re-delivery of
arms heretofore delivered to the officers and men under them ;
and to add to the said 63rd Article of the Code of Public General
Laws, a section providing for the prevention and suspension of
proceedings upon bonds heretofore given under the Laws of this
State, for the return of such arms,

Was taken up, read the third time, and passed by yeas and
nays as follows:

AFFIRMATIVE.

Messrs. Brooke, President; Heckart,

Blackistone, McKaig,

Duvall, Miles,

Dashiell, Townsend,

Franklin, Watkins,

Gardiner, Whitaker—12.

NEGATIVE—NONE.

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.
On motion of Mr. Miles,

A bill, entitled, An act to amend the 29th Article of the Code
of Public General Laws, by adding thereto a section extending
the lien of judgments to leasehold interests in land,
