1 The members of the Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Conventions were elected in September 1775 to serve for a period of
one year. Election results survive for only those counties marked with an asterisk; the lists of delegates for the other
counties are based on attendance at the conventions.

2 These delegates attended only the Sixth Convention.

3 These delegates attended only the Sixth and Seventh Conventions.

4 These delegates attended only the Sixth and Eighth Conventions.
' These delegates attended only the Seventh Convention.

6 These delegates attended only the Seventh and Eighth Conventions.

7 Baker was dismissed on December 11, 1775, for a "breach of the continental association" prior to his election.

8 The Committee of Claims (upon the Treasury) served essentially the same function as the committees of Accounts and
Claims-Bills of Credit had in the proprietary assemblies.

9 The Committee on Manufactories was first appointed during the Sixth Convention "to receive all proposals relative to
the establishment of manufactories." By the Eighth Convention it had become a standing committee.

10 The proceedings for the Eighth Convention do not designate Western or Eastern Shore representation in its recording
of the election of members to the Fourth Council of Safety.

11 Nicholas Thomas was appointed by the Council of Safety on September 18, 1776.
