LOOCKERMAN (LOCKERMAN), THOMAS

WYNN (?-1801). BORN: before 1754 (when he
was described as a minor), in Dorchester County.
NATIVE: fourth generation. RESIDED: in Great
Choptank Hundred, Caroline County, by 1778.

FAMILY BACKGROUND. FATHER. Thomas Loock-

erman (?-1753) of Dorchester County. MOTHER:
Sidney, daughter of Charles Dickinson (?-1779),
a merchant of Dorchester and Caroline counties.
UNCLES: Henry Dickinson (?-1789); John Dick-
inson (ca. 1726-1789). AUNT: Margaret Dickin-
son, who married Philip Walker (?-1791). MAR-
RIED If Loockerman had a wife, her name is not
known. His grandfather's will, probated in 1779,
stated that Mary Ann Gray was Loockerman's
mistress and that she had borne him a bastard
child. CHILDREN. SONS: Thomas Wynn (?-1829),
