Chapter 357.

 

AN ACT to repeal chapter one hundred and thirty

 

of the acts of the General Assembly of Maryland,

 

passed at the January session of the year eighteen

 

hundred and sixty-five, entitled "An act to pro-

 

vide for the registration of Births, Marriages and

 

Deaths," and also to repeal chapter one hundred

 

and two of the acts of General Assembly of

 

Maryland, passed at the January session of the

 

year eighteen hundred and sixty-six, amending

 

said act, and to re-enact the same under the fol-

 

lowing title, to wit: "An act to provide for the

 

Registration of Marriages."

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-

 

bly of Maryland, That chapter one hundred and

 

thirty of the acts of the General Assembly of Mary-

 

land, passed at the January session of eighteen

 

hundred and sixty-five, entitled "An act to provide

 

for the registration of births, marriages and deaths,"

 

and chapter one hundred and two of the acts of the

General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the Janu-

 

ary session of the year eighteen hundred and sixty-

 

six, entitled "An act to amend the second section

 

of the aforesaid act, entitled 'An act to provide for

 

the registration of the births, marriages and deaths,' "

 

be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted so

 

as to read as follows :

 

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-

 

land, That the clerks of the Circuit Courts of the

Facts to record

several counties, and the clerk of the Court of Com-

 

mon Pleas of Baltimore city, shall receive and record

 

in books prepared for the purpose the following

 

facts concerning marriages in said counties or city.
