NEGATIVE—None.
Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

On motion by Mr. Walsh, it was

Ordered, That the Chairman of the Committee of Claims
be requested to pay to Edward Powers, Janitor of the Senate,
the sum of twenty-five dollars, for washing towels for the
January Session, 1874, also, twenty-five dollars for the same
services rendered at the present Session of the Senate.
The unfinished business was again taken up.
Mr. Stevens submitted the following :
Ordered, That the vote on the House of Refuge bill be
taken at 11.30 P. M.

Mr. Bannon moved to adjourn.

Which was decided in the negative by yeas and nays as
follows:
