On motion by Mr Dennis,

The vote by which the amendments to said bill were here
tofore adopted, were reconsidered.

Mr. Dennis then withdrew said amend ments

On motion by Mr. Dennis,

Said bill was then recommitted to the Committee on Agri-
culture.

Mr. Stevens, from the Committee on -Judicial Proceedings,
reported favorably the following bills:

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend Aiticle 75, of the
Code of Public General Laws, title "Pleadings, Practice and
Process," by adding to the same, two Sections, rendering
equitable defences available in actions at law.

Senate bill entitled an Act to amend Article 72, of the
Code of Public General Laws, title''Partnerships Limited,"
by adding thereto a section, regulating the responsibility of
persons not being partners, who shall receive or contract t»
receive a portion of the profits of any partnership, general
or limited as a compensation in whole or in part tor money
loaned, or services rendered thereto or therefor.

Which were read the first time.

Mr. Knight, from the Committee on Finance, reported fa-
vorably the following bills:

House bill entitled an Act to refund to Horatio J. Sheppard,
of Cecil county, a sum of money erroneously paid into the
Treasury.

House bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Com-
missioners, of Frederick county, to adjust and settle the ac-
count of Wm. R. Dorsey, Register of voters for Woodville
Election District, No. 18, of said county, by paying him
such compensation for extra services by him rendered as the}'
may deem right and proper.

Which were read the second time.

And,

Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of money
to pay L. F. Colton & Co., for paper furnished, and for
printing binding and distributing the report of the Board of
State School Commissioners, for the year '1874, as per order
of the Governor, in compliance with the Act of 1872, chap-
ter 377, sub-chapter 12, Section 11.

Mr. Getty, from the Committee on Finance, reported fa-
vorably,
