So the motion prevailed,
And the House proceeded to the consideration of the next
Section.
Mr. Given submitted the following amendments :
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED,
Amend Section 6 by striking out the word "Governor/'
and all that follows in the first line to the word "who," in
the 2nd line, and insert "County Commissioners."
And in the 3d line after the word "county," strike out
the word "he," and insert in place "the Governor."
Strike out all after the word "appointed" in line 11 to the
word 'review" in line 12, and insert "by the Governor,"
and strike out in line 13, the words "in the county or."

The question recurring upon the adoption of the amend-
ments.
