pany situated and doing business in Allegany County, Mary-
land, to make any service charge or charge for exchange to the
payee for cashing any wage check drawn upon any bank in said
County, or pay to the payee of said check any sum less than
the full face value thereof, provided that said check shall have
marked thereon the words "for wages", or "wage account", or
some other phrase to be placed thereon by the drawer of said
check and identifying the same as having been issued for pay-
ment of wages.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That it shall be the duty
of each employer paying wages by means of check in Allegany
County to write, stamp or cause to be printed thereon the
words "for wages", "wage account" or some other phrase iden-
tifying the same as having been issued for payment of wages.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That any Bank or Trust
Company or employer violating the provisions of this Act
shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not less than One Hun-
dred Dollars ($100. 00) nor more than One Thousand Dollars
($1, 000. 00) in the discretion of the Justice of the Peace or
Court, and each check cashed in violation hereof shall consti-
titute a separate offense.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1937.

CHAPTER 341.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
212BB of Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland,
1935 Supplement, title "Licenses", sub-title "Motor Ve-
hicles", sub-heading "Gasoline Tax", as enacted by Chapter
465 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland at its
1935 Regular Session, and to repeal and re-enact with amend-
ments Section 4 of said Chapter 465 so as to provide that the
provisions of Sections 7A, 7B, 70, 7D, 7E and 7F of Article
89B of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland as en-
acted by Chapter 425 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland at its 1933 Regular Session, shall be extended
until September 30, 1939.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 212BB of Article 56 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland, 1935 Supplement, as enacted by Chapter 465 of
