Senate bill to amend Chapter 437, Acts of 1874, and
Chapter 405, Acts of 1876, relating to oysters in Dorchester
County.

Endorsed: "Passed by yeas and nays, with the following
proposed amendment:

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Add to Section 2, Provided, also that the waters of Chop-
tank Eiver, lying north of a straight line running from.
Benoni's Point to Clora's Point, are hereby reserved for tong-
men, and it shall not be lawful to catch oysters with scoop,
scrape, or similar instrument to the northward of said line.

Which was concurred in, and bill passed by yeas and nays

Amend title by striking out the words "to appropriate a
sum of money."
