Senate bill to prohibit the shooting of wild fowl from sink
boats and floating blinds within two miles of Hooper's Island.

Endorsed: "Passed by yeas and nays."

Senate bill to authorize the County Commissioners of Wor-
cester County to open a road in said county and to permit
gates to be placed across the same.

Endorsed : "Passed by yeas and nays."

Senate bill to amend the charter of the Maryland Canal
Company.

Endorsed : "Passed by yeas and nays."

Senate bill to authorize the Washington City and Point
Lookout Railroad Company to purchase the Southern Mary-
land Railroad,

Endorsed: "Passed by yeas and nays."

Senate bill to amend the charter of Frederick City.

Endorsed: "Passed by yeas and nays."

Senate bill to enable the qualified voters of certain election
districts of Dorchester County to determine by ballot whether
spirituous or fermented liquors shall be sold in said districts.

Endorsed: "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed
amendments:"

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Sec. 11, line 9, strike out from "changed" to "aforesaid"
inclusive, and insert "hereafter changed as elsewhere provi-
ded in this Act, and in every election district of said county
wherein prohibition of the sale of liquors, &c., now or here-
after may be declared by law, such prohibition shall be con-
strued with the limitations and exceptions set forth in Sec-
tions 4 and 5 af this Act, on and after May first, 1879, and
previous law to the contrary notwithstanding."

Sec. 8, line 7, after the word "thereon" insert the words
"unless a counter petition from said district larger in num-
bers than the first is presented to said Judge or Judges be-
fore the first day of September following, in which event said
Judge or Judges shall either take no action on the first pe-
tition or countermand what action has been taken as the case
may require."

Sec. 4, line 27, after the word "patients" add: "And pro-
vided that nothing herein contained shall be construed to
prevent the sale of peach or apple brandy and wines manu-
factured in said county by the producer of the fruit from,
