eral Assembly of 1864, and the several Acts amendatory
thereof, viz.: the Acts. of 1867, Chapter 82; of 1868, Chapter
394; and of 1876, Chapter 27; by the last of which the name
of said Company was changed to the Safe Deposit and Trust
Company of Baltimore.

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Gorman, from the Committee on Corporations, re-
ported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to remove the limitations of the
existence of St. John's Cemetery, of Howard County.

Which was read the second time.

Mr. Stump, from the Committee on Education, asked,

That the bill amending the School Law, which had been
referred to that Committee, be printed, so that it might be
more thoroughly considered by the Committee.

Which request was granted.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliv-
ered the following bills:

House bill entitled an Act to repeal Chapter 160, of the
Acts of 1876, entitled an Act to encourage the killing of
Hawks, Big Owls, Foxes and Weasels, in the counties of
Charles and Calvert.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Wilson, Lancaster and Combs, of St. Mary's.

House bill entitled an Act for the better protection of in-
sectiverous birds in Somerset County.

Which was read the first time, and referred to Senators
Dennis, Humphreys and Franklin.

House bill entitled an Act to encourage the destruction of
large Hawks and Owls in Somerset County.

Which was read the first time and referred to Senators
Dennis, Humphreys and Franklin.

House bill entitled an Act to create a new Election District
in Somerset County, and comprising all that territory be-
longing to the State of Maryland, on Smith's Island.

Which was read the first time and referred to Senators
Dennis, Humphreys and Stump.

Senate bill entitled an Act to define and preserve the
inner harbor of Cambridge and Cambridge Creek, in Dor-
chester County,
