WEDNESDAY, January 9th, 1873.
Senate met pursuant to adjournment.
Present at roll call the following Senators:

of St. Mary's, Cooper, Dennis, Ford, Franklin. Freeman,
Garey, Gorman, Hepbron, Hill, Humphreys, Joyce, Lan-
caster, Lee, McLane, Miller, Newcomer, Peter, Steiner,
Stump, Sulivane, Welfley—25,

The proceedings of yesterday were read and approved.

The President presented to the Senate the following com-
munication from the Hon. Barnes Compton, Treasurer of the
State:

Treasurer's Office,
Annapolis, January 8th, 1878.
To the Honorable, the President of Hie Senate;

Sir: —In compliance with a requirement of the 4th Section
of Article 6, of the Constitution, I have the honor herewith
to submit to the Honorable Body over which you preside,
true copies of all accounts rendered to and settled with the
Comptroller of the Treasurer, from the 1st of October 1875,
to the 30th of September 1877, inclusive.
