narily well. You have given evidence beyond question to the thousands of
gallant Marylanders, and the millions of Americans in uniform, that you are
supporting them to the utmost. When Victory does come, yours can be the deep
and lasting satisfaction that you did not fail our fighting forces, that you did
your part well, and that without your efforts the valorous achievements of our
Army and Navy, our sky fighters, our submarines and tank crews, could never
have been so effective. "
Keep up this splendid record. Prove over and over again to those brave
Americans who are fighting our battles without respite, that you will fight their
battle of production just as vigorously. Continue to oppose the Axis just as
relentlessly here as American boys are doing in the Solomons, in Egypt and in
New Guinea, as the British and Americans in Egypt, and as the heroic Russian
troops who, at Stalingrad and in the Caucasus have given, the world a saga of
bravery and love for their homeland that will live for all time as an incentive
for freedom-loving people everywhere.
The millions of courageous Americans now on active duty and in our train-
ing camps, and the other millions of determined men and women who are man-
ning the production lines of our great industries, together make up a fighting
team that no Axis military effort can withstand. The distinguished services
rendered by the worker s, here at Bethelhem, multiplied many times over through-
out this great Country of ours, are a sure harbinger of Victory—a Victory that
will restore to all men everywhere, the blessings of peace and liberty and your
part in achieving that Victory is, indeed, a glorious one!
