Maryland Ss. Know all Men by these presents that Wee William Brereton Capta:John King and John West
all of Sommersett County Gentm: are holden and firmly bound unto theire Maties King
William and Queene Mary in the full Sum of Two hundred Thousand Pounds of good
Sound Marchantable Tobacco In Caske to be paid to their Maties King William & Queen
Mary or to their Certaine Attourney or to theire heires executors admrs:or assignes to the
wch:paymt:to be well & truly made wee binde us and each of us by himselfe and for y whole
firmly by these presents Sealed with or Seales & dated the 10th: day of June in ym Second yeare of
their Maties Reigne over England &c and in the year of our Lord God one Thousand Six hundred
and ninety / ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
The Condition of this Obligation is Such That if the above bound William Brereton Doe well & truly Serve theire Maties
their heires & Successors in the office of high Sheriffe of Sommersett County and Shall rendr:unto their Said Maties: or
other their Maties:officers A true ffaithfull and perfect accot: of all and Singular their Maties:rents and other fees and
Dues that he Shall be intrusted with by their Said Maties:or any of their officers within this Province to receive and
Collect and his accot: to their Said Maties heirs and Successors for his rents and ffines forfeitures or other Dues
belonging to their Maties: and also his accompt of all fees dues or summes of Tobaccoes for Leavies or fees due to one
of theire Maties: officers within this Province Shall pass and give an accompt of at the Citty of St Maries in y Province
aforesaid in his owne proper person by the first Tuesday in Aprill next ensueing the date hereof and in all other
things as Sheriff of the Said County Shall behave himselfe well & honestly as well towards their Said Maties as to all other
persons whatsoever then this obligacon to be voyd or else remaine in force ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Signed Sealed & delivered Wm: Brereton Sealed
