the case may be, shall not grant a personal discharge to the applicant
until the said provisional trustee to be appointed as
aforesaid shall give bond with security to be approved of by the
said county court, judge or justice, as the case may be, conditional
for the faithful discharge of his trust, and until the said applicant
shall execute to the said provisional trustee, a good and
sufficient deed for all his estate, both real and personal, the necessary
wearing apparel and bedding of himself and family excepted,
for the benefit of the creditors of the said applicant, and
until the said provincial trustee so to be appointed shall certify
in writing to the said county court, judge or justice, as the case
may be, that he is in possession of all the estate of the said applicant
mentioned in his schedule.

    9.  And be it enacted, That nothing in this act contained shall
be construed to prevent the appointment of any permanent trustee
for the benefit of the creditors of any insolvent debtor in like
manner as permanent trustees are now appointed.

    10.  And be it enacted, That upon the appointment of any permanent
trustee it shall be the duty of the said provisional trustee
to execute a good and sufficient deed for the real and personal
estate of the said insolvent debtor, except as is herein before
provided, to the said permanent trustee, and to deliver over to the
said permanent trustee all the real and personal estate of the
said insolvent debtor, except as aforesaid, for the benefit of his
creditors.

    10.  And be it enacted, That any thing in any other act of assembly
contained, which is inconsistent with the provisions of
this act, be and the same are hereby repealed.

                                            CHAPTER 206.

An act for regulating and inspecting Weights and Measures, used in this
                                                    State.

Passed March
8, 1826.
    Sec. 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That it shall be the duty of the governor and council of this
state, on or before the first day of August next to procure
and deliver to the levy courts of each of the several counties
in this state, a standard of each of the several kinds of weights
and measures used at the custom house in the city of Baltimore.

    2.  And be it enacted, That so soon as the levy courts of each
of the counties in this state are furnished with the said standards
of weights and measures; it shall be their duty to appoint,
on or before the first day of May in each and every year,
some person as keeper of the standards of weights and
measures, whose duty it shall be, safely to keep and preserve
the same, and when required to deliver them to the
said levy court or such person as the said court may appoint
to receive the same, and to perform the several duties prescribed
