under the suspension of the rales, and passed by yeas

Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates.

Mr. Hayes, from the Committee on Finance, re-
ported, with recommendation that said bill be referred
to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings.

House bill entitled an Act to provide for the pay-
ment by the State, for certain debts contracted by the
Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Company during 1887,
1888, 1889 and 1890. for labor, &c.

Which was considered and so referred.

Mr. Hayes, from the Committee on Finance, re-
ported favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to prevent and punish
fraud in sales of goods, wares and merchandise, at pub-
lic or private sales by vendors, &c.

Which was read the second time.

REPORTS OF SELECT COMMITTEES.

Mr. Wilkinson, from a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

House bill entitled an Act to regulate the term and
compensation of the County Commissioners, of St.
Mary's county.
