1106 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar, 31,

House bill entitled an Act to add a new section to
Article 4 of the Code of 'Public Local Laws, title
City of Baltimore," under the new sub-title "Oysters,"
to be known as section 704 A, relating to the licensing
of measurers of oysters in the City of Baltimore and
their compensation.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 34 A
and 34 B, of Article 56, of the Code of Public General
Laws, as enacted by chapter 159 of the Acts of 1890,
and to re-enact with amendments.

Which were read the second time.

And unfavorably the following bills:

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re enect
sections 135 and 136, of Article 4, Code of Public
Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore," sub-title "Car-
riages, Horses, Boats and Scows."

House bill entitled an Act to allow the sale of
tobacco, cigars, soda or mineral waters, &c.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 655, of
Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "City
of Baltimore."

Which were adopted.

Said bills were then returned to the House of Dele-
gates,

Mr. Lloyd, from a Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,

House bill entitled an Act to aid, promote and en-
courage manufactories inthe town of Easton, Talbot
county.

With the following proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out the word "town," in section 1, and insert
"towns," and after the word "Easton," add "Trappe,
Oxford, St. Michaels and the village of Cordova."

Which' was adopted.

Said bill, as amended, was read the second time.

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
section 3, of chapter 597, passed at January Session,
1890, entitled au Act to confer additional jurisdiction
upon Justices of the Peace of Baltimore county.

Which was read the second time.
