Mr. Berret, from the Committee on Ways and Means,
reported favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay the claim of Messrs. Thomas and Evans,
printers and publishers of Baltimore city, for printing
the school report for the year 1890.
Which was read a first time.
Mr. Carter from the Committee on the Judiciary,
reported favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to amend section 23 and
13, of chapter 495, of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland, passed at its January Session, 1882,
entitled an Act to incorporate the National Trust and
Guarantee Company.

Mr. Brashears, from the Select Committee, reported
favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower
Geo. T. Melvin to construct a bridge over Weem's
creek, in Anne Arundel county.

Gentlemen of the Senate:
We propose, with the concurrence of your Honor-
able Body, the appointment of a Joint Select Com-
mittee, to consist of three members on the part of the
House of Delegates and two on the part of the Senate,
to examine into the condition of the Executive Man-
sion with leave to report by bill or otherwise.
