Mr. Hamilton submitted the following proposed
amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
On page 4, section 15, in lines 1 and 2, strike out
the words "three thousand five hundred," and insert
"two thousand," and in line 3, strike out the words
"three thousand five hundred," and insert "two
thousand."
Which was rejected.
Said bill, as amended, was then read a second time,
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
House bill entitled an Act to enable and authorize
the County Commissioners of Talbot county to sub-
scribe to the capital stock of the Easton, Trappe and
Cambridge Railroad Company.
House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 13C of Article 5, 182 of
Article 9, and 112 of Article 19, of the Code of Public
Local Laws, of the respective titles "Calvert County,"
"Charles County" and "St. Mary's County," under
sub-title "Terrapins."
House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 104,
105, 106, 107, 108, 109, 110, 111, 112, 113, 115, 116, of
Article 14, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Howard County," sub-title "Roads," and to enact
the following in lieu thereof.
House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments sections 135 and 136, of Article 4,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "City of Bal-
more," sub-title "Carriages, Horses, Boats and
Scows."
House bill entitled an Act to prohibit book-making,
pool-selling or gambling on racing or contests or other
events in Baltimore county.
House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendmets section 410, of Article 4, of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore," sub-
title "House of Refuge and Reformation."
House bill entitled an Act to enable Edgar W. Mc-
Master, collector of State and county taxes of Wor-
cester county for the year 1886 and 1887, to enforce
the payment of the taxes not heretofore collected by
Mm.
