CHAPTER 48.

|
AN ACT to amend the charter of the Baltimore
|
|
|
|
|
Corn and Flour Exchange, by authorizing the
|
|
|
|
|
same, in its discretion, to become the owner of
|
|
|
|
|
capital stock, and to participate in the organiza-
|
|
|
|
|
tion and government of the Chamber of Commerce
|
|
|
|
|
Building Company.
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted ty the General Assem-
|
|
|
|
|
bly of Maryland, That the act of eighteen hundred
|
|
|
|
|
and seventy, chapter one hundred and thirty-six,
|
|
|
|
|
incorporating "The Baltimore Corn and Flour Ex-
|
|
|
|
|
change," be and the same is hereby amended so as
|
|
|
|
|
that the said corporation be and it is hereby author-
|
|
|
|
|
ized and empowered, in its discretion, to subscribe
|
|
|
|

for and otherwise acquire so much as it may see fit of

tal stock.

the capital stock of " The Chamber of Commerce

Building Company," and to participate in the organ-
|
|
|
|
|
ization and government of the same, provided always

that the powers hereby granted shall be exercised
subject to the limitations imposed by the act of the

|
|
|
|
General Assembly of Maryland of the present ses-
|
|
|
|
|
sion creating the said last-mentioned corporation.

|
|
Effective.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
|
|
|
|
effect immediately from and after its passage.
|
