CHAPTER 788
(Senate Bill 526)
AN ACT concerning
Constitutional Officers
- Qualifications
FOR the purpose of prohibiting certain persons from
entering upon the duties of, or continuing to serve in,
certain elective offices created by or pursuant to the
Maryland Constitution if the person was not a registered
voter in the State on the date of the person's election or
appointment to that term or if, at any time thereafter and
prior to the completion of the term, the person ceases to be
a registered voter; acknowledging certain exceptions and submitting this amendment to the
qualified voters of the State of Maryland for their adoption
or rejection.
BY proposing an amendment addition to the Constitution of
Maryland
