ing upon his duties shall give bond to the State of Maryland in the penalty
five thousand dollars ($5000.00) with corporate surety satisfactory to said
County Commissioners, the premium of said bond to be paid by the County
Commissioners of Wicomico County.

And, provided, further that nothing herein contained shall be taken as
in any manner whatsoever restricting or changing the salary and com-
pensation of the State's Attorney for his attendance before the Peoples'
Court of Wicomico County now allowed by law as provided for in Chapter
470, of the Acts of the General Assembly, Session of 1937.

The Sheriff of Wicomico County, Chief Deputy, and all other deputies
are hereby authorized, directed and required to serve all process, both civil
and criminal issuing out of the Peoples' Court for said Wicomico County
as now required by law, as provided for in Chapter 270, Section 389C of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, Session of 1937, and
Wicomico County shall be exempt from the provisions of Section 101
hereof relating to Salaried Constables.

(Worcester County.) There shall be four trial magistrates, one of whom
shall sit at Snow Hill and receive an annual salary of Nine Hundred
Dollars ($900.00) ; one of whom shall sit at Pocomoke and receive an
annual salary of Mne Hundred Dollars ($900.00); one of whom shall
sit at Berlin and receive an annual salary of Nine Hundred Dollars
($900.00), and one of whom shall sit at Ocean City and receive an annual
salary of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00). There shall be no constables
assigned to trial magistrates in Worcester County.

101. (Salaried Constables.) One constable at large may be appointed
by the County Commissioners of the several counties for each trial magis-
trate, and each of said constables at large shall receive, in lieu of fees in
civil and criminal cases, an annual salary of $600.00; but in Allegany
County, the County Commissioners shall appoint three constables at large
for two trial magistrates who sit for the trial of cases in the City of Cum-
berland; one of said constables shall receive an annual salary of eighteen
hundred dollars ($1,800.00), one shall receive an annual salary of fifteen
hundred dollars ($1,500.00), and one shall receive an annual salary of
twelve hundred dollars ($1,200.00), in lieu in each case of all criminal
costs and fees, and the County Commissioners of Allegany County may
appoint additional constables at large for trial magistrates in said County
and provide for the compensation of such constables either by the fees
prescribed by law or by such annual salary in lieu of fees, as the County
Commissioners, in their discretion, may determine; provided, however,
that the provisions of this Section shall not apply to the counties of Fred-
erick, Carroll, Montgomery, Wicomico, Prince George's, Harford, Cecil
and Calvert, and in Anne Arundel the County Commissioners may appoint
two constables at salaries of not more than Six Hundred Dollars ($600.00)
per year.

102. (Compensation of Other Justices.) Justices of the peace other
than trial magistrates shall be paid by the County Commissioners, as full
