and if he or they shall find that said work has been properly done, he or
they shall give to the said clerk of the Circuit Court a certificate to that
effect, and upon presentation of his account for said work, together with the
certificate of the judge or judges aforesaid to the County Commissioners of
Prince George's County, they shall at their next levy-laying term thereafter
levy an amount in their discretion sufficient to pay said account, nor shall
the total cost of work exceed the sum of three hundred dollars.

211. The clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince George's County shall
keep in his office a well-bound book of blank receipts, and each of said blank
receipts shall be attached to a blank stub; and said clerk, personally or by
deputy, shall give a full and explicit receipt upon one of said blank re-
ceipts to every person who shall pay into his said office any fee, commis-
sion or sum of money, said receipts shall be given at the time of payment
of said fee, commission or money, and at the same time there shall be
entered upon the stub of the blank receipt then used a full and explicit
memorandum of the contents of said receipt. All such stubs shall remain
in said book, and all books of stubs shall be kept as records of said clerk's
office.

212. The clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince George's County shall
designate each volume of the land and chancery records of his office, begun
and made from and after the passage of this Act, by successive numbers,
beginning with number one; and thenceforth all references on official
papers to the contents of any of the records so numbered shall be by the
said number of the volume.

213. Whenever the owner or owners of lands in Prince George's county
shall subdivide their lands for town villa sites, streets, lanes or alleys,
and shall desire for purposes of description and identification a plat of
said subdivision to be recorded among the land records of said county,
or whenever any street, avenue, public road, lane or alley shall be acquired
by condemnation or otherwise by the county commissioners of said county,
the clerk of the Circuit Court for Prince George's County is hereby di-
rected to receive and record same as hereinafter directed, but said clerk
shall not receive for record, nor allow to be recorded in his office any such
plat, until the requirements of the succeeding sections of this Act shall
have been complied with.
