388. It shall be the duty of said justice of the peace to collect said
fines, and to pay over the same to the school commissioners of said county,
for the use of the public schools thereof, within ten days after their col-
lection.

TURNER'S RIVER.

1890, ch. 141.

389. The branch of Sassafras river now known as "Turner's creek,"
extending from said river to the steamboat landing at the head of said
creek, and upon which a public landing and Janvier's wharf are located,
shall hereafter be called and known as "Turner's river."

WILD FOWL.

(All local laws relating to Wild Fowl were repealed by ch. 568, 1927. See 1929
Supplement to Annotated Code, Art. 99.)

WITNESSES.

390. Each witness summoned to any court in said county shall be
entitled to receive for each day he shall attend, the sum of seventy-five
cents; and in addition thereto an allowance of six and a quarter cents per
mile for every mile his place of residence shall be distant from the place
of holding the court; such mileage to be allowed for each day he shall
attend.

391. The clerk of the circuit court for said county shall report to the
county commissioners a list of all such witnesses summoned to attend said
court, with the number of days they attended, with the distance each wit-
ness, to the best of his judgment, resides from the place of holding said
court.

392. The provisions of the two preceding sections shall apply only to
