1914 ARTICLE 7.

WINTERS MILL DAM.

1914, ch. 773, sec. 1.

554. It shall not be lawful for any person or persons to bathe or swim,
within 500 yards of any dwelling house, in the waters in that portion of
the West Branch of the Patapsco Falls, commonly called "Winters Mill
Dam," near the Coal Schute, along the Western Maryland Railroad, in
the Seventh Election District of Carroll County, State of Maryland.

1914, ch. 773, sec. 2.

555. Any person or persons violating the provisions of this Act, shall
upon conviction before a justice of the peace, be fined in a sum not less
than one dollar nor more than fifteen dollars for each and every offense;
one-half of said fine shall go to the informer and the other one-half to the
Public School Fund of Carroll County.

556. The County Commissioners shall annually levy such a sum as
they may deem sufficient to pay all the State's witnesses who may be
summoned to attend the Circuit Court for said county.

557. The collectors of taxes shall pay each witness such sum as he
shall appear, by the certificate of the Clerk of the Circuit Court, to be
entitled to receive, immediately after such witness is discharged from his
attendance at said court.
