The Editor desires to express his cordial appreciation of the valuable
assistance rendered him in the preparation of this book by the following
members of the Baltimore Bar: James T. Carter, Robert W. Maeser,
Garland W. Powell and Malcolm H. Lauchheimer. Recognition is also
due, and is gladly made, of the efficient help of Dr. Horace E. Mack,
head of the Department of Legislative Eefercnce of Baltimore City, in
connection with the incorporation herein of the Acts of 1918, and with
the proof-reading of the statutes in this Volmne. The Editor moreover
