SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 491.
AN ACT to authorize and require the County Commissioners of
Charles County to levy a sum of money to build two new
school houses in Charles County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Charles County be and
they are hereby authorized and required to levy the sum of six-
teen hundred dollars ($1,600.00) at their next annual levy for
the purpose of building two new school houses in said county,
the said money to be paid to the said School Commissioners of
Charles County for said purpose.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 492.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 71 of
Article 33 of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland
" of 1904, title "Elections," sub-title "Count of the Ballots,"
as amended by Chapter 576 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1908, and to -add a new section to said Article
33 of the Code of Public General Laws of 1904 to be known
as section 7lA.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section 71 of Article 33 of the Code of Public-Gen-
eral Laws of Maryland of 1904, title "Elections," sub-title
"Count of the Ballots," as amended by Chapter 576 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of 1908, be and the same is hereby
repealed and re-enacted with amendments so as to read as fol-
lows, and that an additional section be added to Article 33 of
the Code of Public General Laws of 1904, title "elections,"
sub-title "Count of the Ballots;" as amended by Chapter 576 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of 1908; said new section to
be known and designated as section 71A.
