SECTION 1. Be it enacted 'by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Comptroller of the State Treasury be and he is
hereby empowered and directed to refund and pay to The
Farmers' Exchange Company of Union Bridge. Maryland, the
sum of twenty dollars and eighty-six cents, erroneously paid
by George P. Buckey. deceased, late tax collector, into the
Treasury of the State of Maryland, in his lifetime and during
the year A. D. 1909 and 1910.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 488.
AN ACT to refund to Mrs. Margaret H. Jones, wife of Charles
Jones, a sum of money paid in error to the State Treasurer.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,, That the Comptroller be and he is hereby authorized and
directed to issue his warrant upon the Treasurer, payable to
Mrs. Margaret H. Jones, wife of Charles Jones, of New Wind-
sor, Carroll County, in the State of Maryland, for the amount
of ninety-three dollars and fourteen cents ($93.14), said amount
having been paid by her to the County Treasurer of Carroll
county as State tax upon eleven thousand five hundred and
seventy-five dollars ($11,575.00) on personal property, erro-
neously assessed against her for the years 1907, 1908, 1909 and
1910.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 489.
AN ACT to authorize the Board of Managers of the Maryland
House of Correction to make certain improvements, repairs
and additions to the buildings and equipment of the Mary-
land House of Correction and to make an appropriation
therefor.
