become absolute in said County Commissioners, as against said
delinquent taxpayer, and the County Commissioners are author-
ized to sell said land, at either public or private sale, and to
convey the same to the purchaser thereof after reporting said
sale and after the ratification thereof by the Circuit Court for
Garrett county, and a good title shall be vested in the pur-
chaser of said land, as against said delinquent taxpayer.
SEC. 4lA. That the title to all lands in Garrett county
heretofore sold by the County Treasurer to the County Commis-
sioners under the provisions of section 41 of this article shall
become absolute in the County Commissioners, as against the
taxpayer in whose name said land was assessed and sold, after
the first day of January, 1913, provided, the County Commis-
sioners shall give one month's notice by publication in some
newspaper published in Garrett county, prior to the first day
of October, 1912, warning such delinquent taxpayers that
unless said taxes, interest and cost accrued against said lands
are paid and discharged before the first day of January, 1913>
that title to said lands shall become absolute in the County Com-
missioners, as against the person or persons in whose name or
names said lands were assessed and sold; which notice shall
contain a brief description of the lands, the name of the persons
in whose name the same was assessed and sold and the amount
of taxes, interest and costs due thereon; and all of said lands
not redeemed by payment, as aforesaid, before the first day of
January, 1913, shall be held as the property of Garrett county,
and the County Commissioners are authorized at any time there-
after to sell said lands or any of them, either at public or priv-
ate sale, and after reporting said sale or sales to the Circuit
Court for Garrett County and after the ratification thereof by
said Court, to convey the same to the purchaser or purchasers
thereof, and a good title shall be vested in the purchaser or pur-
chasers of said land, as against said delinquent taxpayer or
taxpayers.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 480.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments section 1 of
Chapter 6 of the Acts of 1908, entitled "An Act for the fur-
ther protection of pheasants, partridges or quail, woodcock,
wild turkey and rabbit in Garrett county."
