SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Talbot County be and
they are hereby authorized and empowered to dig, construct
and build a canal at or near the village of Royal Oak, in Talbot
county, for the accommodation of small sailing crafts, includ-
ing canoes, launches and small boats propelled by steam, con-
necting the waters of Broad Creek and Tred Avon River with
the waters of Miles River, provided the cost of said canal shall
not exceed the sum of sixty thousand dollars; and provided fur-
ther, before said County Commissioners shall act under the
powers hereby given them, the question whether the said canal
shall be built and constructed by the said County Commis-
sioners at the expense of the taxpayers of Talbot county, pro-
vided the cost of such construction shall not exceed the sum of
sixty thousand dollars, shall be submitted to the qualified voters
of said county and a majority of such qualified voters shall
have determined in favor of such building and construction.
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That the County Commissioners of
Talbot County are hereby directed to submit the question of
construction and building of said canal on the terms recited in
section 1 of this act, to the qualified voters of Talbot county
at an election to be held on the fifth day of November, in the
year nineteen hundred and twelve.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted. That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 181.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments sections 2 and
13 of Chapter 171 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of the year 1908, entitled "An Act to incorporate
the town of Rock Hall, in Kent county," and to add a new
section thereto, to be known as section 28.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That sections 2 and 13 of Chapter 171 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland of the year 1908, entitled "An
Act to incorporate the town of Bock Hall, in Kent county," be
and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments, and an additional section to be known as section 28 be
added thereto, so as to read as follows:
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the boundaries of said town
shall be as follows: Beginning at the head waters of Rock Hall
