only to Caroline, Cecil, Dorchester, Wicomico, Charles and
Worcester counties.

SEC. 4. If such dog shall immediately upon such complaint
and information be killed by his owner, the owner of the sheep
shall not have cause of action against the owner of said dog,
but upon his refusal to kill such dog the owner of said sheep
may recover double the value of the sheep killed, with costs, in
the manner prescribed for the recovery of debts. This section
shall apply only to Caroline, Cecil; Dorchester, Wicomico,
Charles and Worcester counties.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 833.

AN ACT to extend the privileges, enlarge the powers and amend
the charter of the "Mutual Benefit Society of Baltimore
City," a corporation duly incorporated under the General
Laws of this State.

WHEREAS, The Mutual Benefit Society of Baltimore City was
duly incorporated on the first day of May, A. D. 1903, under
the provisions of the General Laws of this State relating to
the creation and regulation of Fraternal Beneficiary Associa-
tions, in the State of Maryland, and is desirous of extending
the privileges and enlarging its powers; therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That in addition to the powers possessed by it under its
certificate of incorporation, shall have and possess the further
powers, rights, privileges and franchises set forth in this act,
and its charter shall be altered and amended so as to conform to
the terms and provisions of this act.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said corporation will
be managed by a board of directors consisting of five.

SEC. 3. Be if enacted, That the said Mutual Benefit Society
of Baltimore City, shall be operated on the mutual plan, that
no certificate shall be issued on any one life for a maximum sum
greater than five hundred dollars ($500) death benefits, nor
more than seventy-five dollars ($75) annual sick benefits, and
shall deposit with the insurance commissioners of this State in
accordance with section 149 of Article 23 of the Public General
Laws, the sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) which sum
