County shall examine said ballots and give to each teacher
receiving a vote credit therefor, and the five teachers receiving
the highest number of votes under the said ballots shall become
members of the said board of trustees of the Teachers' Retire-
ment Fund of Baltimore County on the fifteenth day of Jan-
uary next following the date of their election. The board of
trustees of the Teachers' Retirement Fund of Baltimore County
shall publicly announce the result of said election not later
than the fifteenth day of December next following the date said
ballots were deposited; provided, however, that on the third
Saturday of May, 1912, five members of the teaching force of
Baltimore county shall be elected in the manner provided,
except the said ballots shall be deposited with the Board of
County School Commissioners of Baltimore County, which
board shall examine such ballots and give to each voter receiving
a vote credit therefor, and the five teachers receiving the highest
number of votes under said ballots shall be members of said
board of trustees of the Teachers' Retirement Fund of Baltimore
County until the members* elected in the year 1913 shall become
members of said board of trustees of the Teachers' Retirement
Fund of Baltimore County. The Board of County School Com-
missioners of Baltimore County shall publicly announce the
result of said election not later than June 15, 1912. As soon
as practicable after the passage of this act the county super-
intendent of public education of Baltimore county shall call
a meeting of said board of trustees of the Teachers' Retire-
ment Fund of Baltimore County.

376B. The members of the said board of trustees of the
Teachers' Retirement Fund of Baltimore County shall hold
office until their successors are elected and become members as
provided by the preceding section. In case of a vacancy in said
board of trustees of the Teachers' Retirement Fund of Balti-
more County by reason of death, resignation or through any
other cause of a member of the teaching force, the board of trus-
tees of the Teachers' Retirement Fund of Baltimore County
shall elect a member of said teaching force as a member of said
board of trustees of the Teachers' Retirement Fund of Balti-
more County for the unexpired term of the person who has
ceased to be such; in case of a vacancy on said board of trustees
of the Teachers' Retirement Fund of Baltimore County by rea-
son of death, resignation or through any other cause of a mem-
ber of the Board of County School Commissioners of Baltimore
County, said Board of County School Commissioners of Balti-
more Co. shall forthwith elect one of its members as a member
of said board of trustees of the Teachers' Retirement Fund of
