SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
Approved April 8, 1912.

CHAPTER 692.

AN ACT authorizing and directing the County Commissioners
of Dorchester county, in the State of Maryland, to issue
coupon bonds to the amount of thirty thousand dollars ($30,-
000.00) for the purpose of building, grading, draining, bridg-
ing and improving certain of the public roads and highways
of said county, and to levy and collect taxes in said county
for the payment of the said bonds and interest.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Dorchester County,
in the State of Maryland, be and they are hereby authorized
and directed to issue coupon bonds to the amount of thirty
thousand dollars ($30,000) for the purpose of building, grad-
ing, draining, bridging and improving the following two public
county roads and highways of said county, to wit: 1st, the pub-
lic county road lying in Straits, Lakes, Church Creek, and
Bucktown election districts, beginning at Bishops Head Post-
office and running to the Maple Dam road, by way of J. Frank
Hearn's store, Wingate Postoffice, Crapo, Lakesville and Shor-
ter's Wharf. 2nd, the public county road bordering on and
lying in Taylor's Island, Lakes and Church Creek election dis-
tricts, beginning at the Great Marsh Bridge leading to Meekins
Neck and running to the Church Creek road by way of Hip-
roof House, Gum Swamp and Big Blackwater Bridge. The
improvement of each of said roads to begin at the point first
named and to be continued toward Cambridge, and the said
County Commissioners be and they are hereby authorized,
empowered and directed to levy and collect taxes in the said
county for the payment of the said bonds and interest as here-
inafter provided; provided further, that the said County Com-
missioners shall have the right to improve whatever parts of
said road that in their judgment should be first improved,
keeping in view, however, the general tenor of this section so
far as to the improvement of said road.

SEC. 2.. And be it enacted, That the said County Commis-
sioners be and they are hereby authorized and directed to issue
said bonds in the denominations hereinafter provided; the
