SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts of
Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act be and the
same are hereby repealed, and that this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER ii.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay the electors
of President and Vice-President of the United States in and
for the State of Maryland, their officers and attendants.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sum of five hundred dollars, or so much thereof
as may be necessary, be and the same is hereby appropriated
to pay the per diem and mileage of the electors of the Presi-
dent and Vice-President of the United States in and for the
State of Maryland, their officers and attendants.
SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That the Comptroller of the Treasury
be and he is hereby directed to issue his warrant on the
Treasurer upon the certificate of the President and Secretary
of the Electoral College, which assembled at Annapolis, Md.,
on the seventh day of January,- nineteen hundred and one, for
such sums as may be due the several electors aforesaid, their
officers and attendants.

AN ACT to appropriate the sum of twenty-five thousand dol-
lars for the joint use of the Commissioners appointed by
the Governor to represent the State of Maryland at the
South Carolina Interstate and West Indian Exposition, to
be held at Charleston, South Carolina, and the Pan-Amer-
ican Exposition, to be held at Buffalo, New York.

WHEREAS, It is of great importance .that the State of
Maryland should be properly represented at the South Caro-
lina Interstate and West Indian Exposition, to be held at
Charleston, South Carolina, from December 1st, 1901, to May
31st, 1902, and at the Pan-American Exposition, to be held
at Buffalo, New York, from May 1st, 1901, to October 31st,
1901; and,
