RESOLUTIONS.

1831.

issue to Richard Coe, of Prince George's county, a soldier

 

of the revolution, a common warrant for fifty acres of va-

 

cant land lying in Allegany county, and to issue a patent for

 

the said quantity of acres of land, upon a certificate of the

 

survey thereof duly returned, without requiring payment or

 

proof of payment of any composition therefor.

 

No. 33.

 

Resolution relating to the obstructions in the Susquehanna

Passed Feb.10. 1832

River.

 

Resolved by~the General Assembly of Maryland, That his

 

excellency, the governor, be, and he is hereby requested

 

forthwith to take such measures as he, by, and with the ad-

 

vice and consent of the council may deem expedient to pre-

 

vent the reconstruction or repair of the Muncy, and Sha-

 

mokin Dams, in the Susquehanna river, state of Pennsylva-

 

nia, which obstructions to the free navigation of said river

 

have been recently carried away.

Resolution relative to equalizing the donations granted to

Passed Feb.17, 1832

the Academies and Schools in the several counties of the

 

state.

 

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the

 

treasurer of the western shore equalize the donations grant-

 

ed to the academies and schools, in the several counties of

 

this state, so as to give eight hundred dollars for each coun-

 

ty, to be paid by him to the said academies and schools, ra-

 

tably for each of those counties, which do not now receive

 

that sum.
