a bill to provide for the general valuation and assessment of
all real and personal property in this State.

On motion by MT. Blake, it was

Ordered, That when the Senate adjourns to-day, that it
stand adjourned until to-morrow, at eleven and a-half o'clock.

On motion by Mr. Brattan,

leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill to enable the plaintiff in any judgment,
to acquire a lien on the judgment debtor's property in another
county, or in the city of Baltimore, where judgment was not
originally obtained.

On motion by Mr. Stevens,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill entitled "an Act to amend an Act," entitled
"an Act ton icorporate the Potomac Fire Insurance Company
of Baltimore," passed at the January Session, eighteen hun-
dred and sixty-seven, Chapter 424; and to amend an Act en-
titled "An Act to incorporate the Potomac Fire Insurance
Company of Baltimore," passed at the January Session,
eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, Chapter 424, passed at the
January Session, eighteen hundred and seventy-two, Chapter
235.

On motion by Mr. Davis, it was

Ordered, That the State Librarian procure and furnish to
the Engrossing Clerk of the Senate, a copy of the Code and
Supplements thereto, and also a copy of the Constitution, of
1867, to be returned at the end of the Session,

On motion by Mr. Brattan,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill to amend Section 59, Article V., of the
Code of Public General Laws, by providing for the imprison-
ment of an offender by a Justice of the Peace for more than
thirty days.

Also,

Leave to the Committee on Chesapeake Bay and its Tribu-
taries to report a bill to alter and amend Chapter 193, of the
Acts of 1872, regulating the measurement of Oysters in the
Ports of Crisfield and the City of Baltimore.

Mr. Tuck, from the Committee on Judicial Proceedings,
to which leave had been granted, reported a bill entitled "An
Act to authorize Henry C. Lay, Bishop of the Diocese of
