86.                            1840.

Secretary of State at Washington.
       On motion of Mr. Theodore R. Loockerman,
the following Resolution was read;
      Resolved, that the thanks of this College be tendered to
the President for the able and dignified manner in which
he has discharged his duties.
        The question upon assenting to said Resolution was put
by the Secretary, and carried unanimously in the affirmative.

        Thereupon, the Electors adjourned sine die.
