John Bone Servant to Capt. John Bayne Adjudged to be twelve years of Age
to Serve According to Law etc.
Ordered that all Actions depending in this Court Shall Come to tryall the
next Court: or Else Judgments or Nonsuites to be Awarded on them upon the
neglect of any of the Attorneys Conserned therein etc.
Ordered that Jeremiah Sheredine be Sumoned for Truemans Administrator
against Ignatias Creycroft.
John Coughlane Servant to Nicholas Morrow Adjudged Seaventeen years of
age Ordered to Serve According to Act of Assembly etc.
George Athey and John Lannam fined Nici Causi five hundred pounds of
tobaccoe apeice for not Appeareing as Jury men when Called, but John Lannam
Came into Court and made a Sufficient Excuse for his being Absence Whereupon
his fine was Remitted.
William Norris Michaell Catterton and Jeremiah Sheredine Sworne as
Evidences for Truemans Administrator against Ignatias Creycroft and William
Turner Sworne for Creycroft etc.
Elizabeth Forrest Widdow Came into Court and binds her Sonn William
Forrest Aged four years old the fourteen day of January Last unto Mr. William
Barton untill hee Comes to twenty one yeares of Age.
Ordered that Thomas Swareingen take Elizabeth Slapcoate home with him
and provide for her it Appearing to the Court that Shee is his Servant.
Jeremiah Sheredine made oath he Attended one day, William Norris Seaven
dayes, William Williams tenn Dayes and Michaell Catterton twelve dayes being
all Sumoned as Evidences for Thomas Taney and Jane his wife Administratrix
of Henry Trueman against Ignatias Creycroft they haveing all taken their Oaths
to Each of their of Attendance Whereupon it is ordered that Thomas Taney
pay to Each of the Said persons thirty pounds of tobaccoe for Each day of
their Attendance etc.
[321] The Grand Jury this Court did present John Waker for Living Incon-
tinent with with Alice Jures the wife of James Jures.
The Grand Jury this Court did make Report that the Westerne branch bridge
was much out of Repaire and that it would tend much to the Sattisfaction and
good Conveniency of most of the people of this County and to the greate Safe-
gard of Straingers travilling that way being a verry publick Roade to have the
Same well Repared if the Justices of this Court Shall think it Convenient etc.
Ordered that the Clerk write out the Rates of Licquors and Lycence for Mr.
Sporne And that the Said Sporne may have Free priveledge to keep Ordinary
in Charles Towne Dureing the Courts pleasure etc.
