All references in the notes to preceding as well as subsequent volumes of
Maryland Reports are made to the marginal pages.

This volume, containing cases decided in the High Court of Chancery of
Maryland, reported by THEODORICK BLAND, Chancellor, was first published
at Baltimore, by Cashing & Brother. in 1841.

The Index and Tables of Cases in this volume were prepared by Mr. W. H.
Brune, Jr., of the Baltimore Bar.

The Editor is indebted to Geo. M. Sharp, Esq., of the Baltimore Bar,
for the note on the VALUATION OF LIFE ESTATES, appended to Williams' Case,
3 Bland, 186.

In the note on INJUNCTIONS, appended to the case of Salmon v. Clagett, 3
Bland, 125, as to restraining a sale of mortgaged property by the trustee
named in the mortgage, at the instance of a trustee in Insolvency, reference
should have been made to Ensor v. Keech, Md. Court of Appeals, Dec. 1885,
3 Eastern Eep. 450.
