The one-hundred and ninety-sixth volume of the Archives of Maryland series was originally published in 1852. The Archives of Maryland edition was published in 2000 by the Maryland State Archives.

Funding for including the Annual Reports of the Comptroller in the Archives of Maryland has been provided by the office of the Comptroller as part of the commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the office.
