                                LAWS OF MARYLAND.

                                        CHAP. LXXXII.
An Act for the relief of Jacob Penn, of Anne-Arundel County.  Lib.
                                       TH. No. 2, fol. 77.

Preamble.     WHEREAS, Jacob Penn, of Anne-Arundel county, by his petition
to this general assembly, hath set forth, that he is very poor,
and far advanced in old age, and from an entire loss of one of his
hands is rendered totally incapable of procuring a support for himself,
wife and four children, by labour, and praying that a law may
pass authorising the levy court of Anne-Arundel county to assess
and levy a sum of money on the assessable property of said county
for his support; therefore,
Levy authorised
for support of Jacob
Penn.
    2.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
the justices of the levy court of Anne-Arundel county be and they
are hereby authorised and directed, if they should deem proper,
to assess and levy, on the assessable property of said county, a
sum of money, not exceeding thirty dollars, for the support and
maintenance of the said Jacob Penn, and that the same be collected
and paid, annually, to the said Jacob Penn, or his order, by the
collector of the said county.

An Act for the relief and benefit of Jacob Bantz, of the City of Baltimore.

    BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That 
the judges of Baltimore county court be and they are hereby authorised
and directed to extend to Jacob Bantz of Baltimore county,
the benefit and relief of the assembly, passed at November session,
eighteen hundred and five *, entitled, An act for the relief of sundry
insolvent debtors, and the supplementary acts thereto, without
compelling the said Jacob Bantz to produce any evidence of his
having resided within the state of Maryland for the two years last
previous to his application for the benefit thereof, in the same manner
as if he had actually resided within this state, agreeably to the
provisions of the said act, and the supplementary acts thereto.

An Act to repeal part of an Act to lay out, straighten and confirm,
    a certain Road in Harford County, passed at November session,
    eighteen hundred and seven.

Preamble.     WHEREAS it is represented to this general assembly, by the petition
of Josias Carvill Hall, that a law passed at November session,
eighteen hundred and seven, authorising commissioners to lay out 
a road through the lands of your petitioner:  And whereas the said
road has since been laid out through his lands to his great injury
and disadvantage; therefore,
Part of an act repealed.     2.  BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
all that part of the act passed at November session, eighteen hundred
and seven, as far as the same may affect or run through the
lands of Josias Carvill hall, be and the same is hereby repealed.
