BALTIMORE COUNTY

            INDEX TO THE LAWS.

all the assessable property within the limits, as laid off
by the act to enlarge the bounds; the amount to be ascertained
by the court,
—The salaries of the associate judges of the said
court to be paid quarterly out of the treasury of the city,
    The line therein mentioned concerning lotteries, to
be recovered in the county court or the city court,
    The Baltimore Second Dispensary incorporated,
    An act for the better regulation of the militia of the
city of Baltimore,
    The city court authorised to liquidate the claims of
Matthew Murray, late sheriff, to supporting insolvent
debtors—to be apportioned between the city and county,
and collected and paid as other expenses of the gaol,
    An act to incorporate Saint Mary's Orphaline School,
    The Savings Bank of Baltimore incorporated,
    An act for shutting up part of Madison-street, and for
other purposes,
    The mayor and city council to appoint managers of
the poor in the different wards, &c.
    An act respecting hay and straw brought for sale,
    A supplement to the act to incorporate the Baptist
Church, (1798, ch. 30,)
    Allowance to witnesses in the city court,
—The judges may examine into and authorise the
payment of accounts for expenses attending the court,
&c. which by law are to be paid by the city,
    The act relating to vagrants in the city of Baltimore,
(1811, ch. 212,)  repealed,
—The act of 1804, ch. 96, revived,
    A company authorised to extend their wharf on Commerce-street,
on the terms therein mentioned,
    Provision made for establishing the new grades of the
streets, &c. between Light-street and Franklin lane,
when necessary,
    An act relating to justices of the peace in the city of
Baltimore,

    The levy court revived, and the justices empowered
to meet, &c.
    The road or street from Reister's-town turnpike road
to intersect Howard-street, declared a public highway,
    The commissioners of review to complete the road
between Owings's mill and Reister's-town,
    The sheriff empowered to remove the prisoners from
the old gaol to the new,
    Zion Presbyterian and Lutheran Church incorporated,
—A lottery authorised for completing the said church,
    Money directed to be levied for completing the new
gaol,
    A road to be laid out from Tarman's tavern to
Cockey's mill, and to the Deer Park road,

    A company incorporated to build bridges over the
Great and Little Falls of Gunpowder,
    Provisions respecting the road from Belle Air in
Harford county,

    Regulations concerning warehouses and the inspection
of tobacco,

    An act respecting several turnpike roads,
—A supplement thereto,
—Assessment to be laid therefor,
    Visitors of the gaol to be appointed,

    The road from Gravelly Hill to the Frederick
county line to be laid out, &c.
