the aforesaid road through his, her or their lands, shall thereupon
proceed to assess and value the damages accordingly, taking
into consideration the advantages and disadvantages, if any, and
also any sum or sums of money already assessed, under the original
act, for his, her or their use, and such inquisition shall be final
and conclusive between the parties. |

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That the levy court
of said county
shall levy on the assessable property in said county, any sum or
sums of money which may be assessed as damages aforesaid for
the use of the person or persons for whom the same shall be assessed. |

1. BE IT ENACTED, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That
a company shall be incorporated to make a turnpike road from the
seventeenth mile-stone, or near thereto, on the York turnpike road
in Baltimore county, in as straight a direction as the nature of the
ground will admit, to the Susquehanna bridge at McCall's ferry,
to meet the turnpike road leading through the Village of Strasburgh
in Pennsylvania. |

2. AND BE IT ENACTED, That subscription books
be opened
for a capital of seventy thousand dollars, in shares of twenty-five
dollars each, in the city of Baltimore, under the direction of William
Patterson, James Wilson and William Stansbury; at Shaffer's
tavern, on the York turnpike road, under the direction of Joshua
F. Cockey, Edward Hall and Thomas Price; at Johnston's tavern
in Harford county, under the direction of Andrew Turner, Robert
Creighton and James Nelson, and at the Pennsylvania line, at the
house of David Wiley, under the direction of David Wiley, Andrew
Pipe and Andrew Perkey, who are hereby appointed commissioners
for the purposes aforesaid, who shall, on or before the first Monday
in May next, procure books, and in each enter as follows: " We
whose names are hereunto subscribed, do promise to pay to the |
