( 89 ) June 9th. 1691. - - - - - - - - Robert: Nichols Servant to Major Robert: King was brought to Court to be adjudged and after a full view had of the sd Robert. he was by the sd Court adjudged to be Sixteen years of age. the sd Robt Came into this County with one Capt. Jno. Jury Comander of the shipp Mary. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Richard: Hill this day his will was proved in open Court Letters of Admrn granted, Appraisers appointed were Wm: Planner and Robert: Pool. mr. Layfield or mr Jenckins to swear sd Appraises. - - - - - - John: Gosling and Manasses: Morris bound in 10lb: pr man for Robert: Downs that he should stand tryall and abide Judgment vide proceedings folio 87. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Ordered. That Thomas Clifton. Maddux Somerset County Ssc. To the worshipfull Comissionrs of Somerset County in Court sitting the humble Petition of Alexander: Maddux sheweth: That the Estate of Joseph Thaxter decd is indebted to the said Maddux in the sum of two thousand eight hundred and fifty pounds of tobacco as appears by the above account which yr Petioner which your Petioner is here ready in Court to prove. Your Petioner humby prayes to worps (here?) grant him Order agt the Estate of the said Thaxter. and your Petioner as in duty bound shall pray &c Accompt proved in Open Court by the Oath of Alexander Maddux Maryland Ssc. To the worshipfull Comrs of Somerset County the Petion of William Bozman humbly sheweth. That whereas your worps Petioner was Sumoned as a Juror and being afflicted with lameness Could not attend according to your worps Order and the good laws of this Province, Your worps Petioner humbly Craves this Courts Clemency in answer to his aforesd affliction for a remittance of his fine, And your Petioner as in duty bound shall pray Petition Granted William Bozman |
